Case study: Portland pedestrian wayfinding sign system
The Portland Central City Pedestrian Wayfinding Signage Project is a 100+ navigational sign program developed for downtown Portland Oregon. These two-sided pylon signs are designed to help visitors and residents navigate the city and access its rich cultural, civic, and commercial destinations. The signs also include transit access information to faciliate movement. The system is currently in fabrication and due to be installed in October 2006.
