Definitions
To many people, "Design" and its various subtypes can seem fuzzy and confusing. Designers typically don't do a great job describing what they do (sometimes purposefully), and there has been an explosion of new expressions and job titles in the past few years.
We offer the following definitions, both our own and from other sources, in an effort to help explain what we do. These are working models, essentially formal-yet-general statements written to help define our thinking. We hope you find them helpful. We do, because if someone can't explain what they do, then how can they expect to practice it?
