Definition of Information design
Information design is a practice that plans and shapes the act of informing at the elemental or detail level of design structure (the organization of the information or data content itself). It uses pattern and form to make the structured information readily useful, usable, desirable.
Throughout the Information Design process, Information Designers act in an interdisciplinary fashion. They combine skills from the fields of art (graphics, typography, writing & editing) and science (human factors, psychology, cognition) to craft readily comprehensible content, concepts, and messages.
